Are Haliburton And Edwards The Next Two Faces Of The NBA?

When the NBA playoffs come around every year, it tests players to see how good they can really be, and unleashes players potential even they didn't know they had. New stars are born, moments are made on the biggest stage, and this year, two stars may have been born.

The Pacers Tyrese Haliburton, and the Timberwolves Anthony Edwards are already household names, and can already be considered stars of the league, but still being young and with much more to learn, this year's playoff campaign has shown why they are the future faces of the league.

We can talk about LeBron James, Steph Curry, and Nikola Jokic right now, but in the next five or so years, it will be Haliburton and Edwards amongst the biggest names in the NBA. Last year both Haliburton and Edwards showcased their potentials, and how valuable they are to their teams, but this year in particular, they have upped it to another level. After being voted the ,most overrated player in the NBA, Haliburton proved his point with a staggering performance against the Knicks in game one of the Eastern Conference Finals, including a ridiculous buzzer beater to tie the game with an unexplainable shot. An Edwards who has knocked off yet another legend in Steph Curry to add to his list of legends of the league he has eliminated from the playoffs in the last two years.

Both have been putting up crazy numbers, and crazy performances both this year and last year, backing up their pre game talk, and showing swagger we all want to see in the NBA. Haliburton being 25, and Edwards being 23 with insane amounts of talent only means better things to look forward to for NBA fans, and is an exciting prospect for the future of the league.

With both potentially meeting in the finals of this year's NBA playoffs, Haliburton who often keeps cool, and slick within his game, and Edwards who talks a lot, and plays with no fear will be a matchup to remember. And what makes the two even better is they just don't seem to be slowing down. Both are averaging great numbers across the board, and both have a clear love for the game. Much Like LeBron and Curry, for years these two will battle against each other, and will give fans what they want, earning their places as faces of the league. When players like these are impressing and performing like they are at such a young age, it is hard to say amongst the stars of the league, these two will not be short of being considered two of the best players in the game in a few years time.
