Much chatter over the last six months or so around speed demon Tyreek Hill's future in Miami continues as talks of his departure begin to heat up again. But with uncertainty across the NFL about whether Hill will remain in sunny Florida, a trade could be the Dolphins easy way out of the tricky Hill situation, and there are a few teams the Cheetah could fit nicely into to rediscover the player he once was.

To many surprise, this mock trade in particular is an in division trade, and although Miami may be reluctant, the right deal which could entice them may be enough to succumb to the pressure. There are a number of teams who could make valid swings at Hill this offseason, the Lions, the Bills, and in this instance the Jets, a team who after a couple of messy years could do with a lockdown, speedy receiver, and have the assets to make it happen.

With former first round pick Justin Fields at the helm for New York next season, and those like Garrett Wilson and Breece Hall remaining as of now, they have some very movable assets that they acquired during the Aaron Rodgers fiasco, and would have enough to throw a convincing offer Miami’s way. And here it is.

Miami receive: 2026 conditional 2nd round pick (turns into a 1st round pick had the Jets make the AFC Championship game), a 2027 3rd round pick, and wide receiver Allen Lazard.

New York receive: Wide receiver Tyreek Hill

In a deal which clears $4 million in cap space for the Jets with the departure of Lazard who just hasn't replicated his Green Bay form in New York, and the sacrifice of a 2nd round pick which is unlikely to be upgraded, and a 3rd in 2027, a pick which may not carry a lot of value, it is a big package, but a package which is worthy for a player with the ceiling like Hill has. Getting Hill back as a sole asset is good enough, and there would be no need for additional negotiation, but managing to give up no first round picks, and no major prospects or assets, the Jets win this mock trade, and Hill gets his move out of Miami to a very interesting looking Jets team.

With the deal being one to consider, and one which would well accommodate both teams, Miami gets some capital in the upcoming drafts, as well as a solid third string receiver while only giving up a 31 year old who has an almost $50 million cap hit headed into next season. Also, with the news of former Bear Keenan Allen potentially heading down to the sunny beaches of Miami, a player like Lazard would be decent asset for QB Tua Tagovailoa, and all in all could be a smart trade for Miami going forward, and a fresh page in the tricky story Miami are currently writing.
