With five games left to go in the NBA regular season, Steph Curry and the Golden State Warriors have kicked into gear at the perfect time to clinch their playoff spot, and escape the play in tournament.
Currently sitting at 46-31 on the season in a stacked western conference, the Warriors tough start to year has been invigorated over the last few weeks, as once again the stars of the show in the Golden State have come to play.
Beating out the reigning champion Denver Nuggets last night 118-104, Steph Curry produced yet another magical performance, putting up 36 points with another three point showcase for all to see. But it isn't only Steph who has finally put his game into second gear, but newly acquired Jimmy Butler, and 22 year old star Podziemski.
The Warriors have always been known as a clutch team, and have the star and firepower to prove it, but with some massive wins in their last few weeks, and some crucial games ahead, it looks as if the Warriors have played their cards perfectly in order to avoid a dreaded play in spot.
With the Clippers and the Grizzlies right on the tail of Golden State, it is vital for the Warriors stars to show their class and get them over the line, clinching a playoff spot. But with their fate along with Minnesota, LA, and Memphis likely to come down to the final game or two, Steph and his Warriors look like a serious contender with their recent run of form.
The Warriors have playoff basketball in their blood, and with age comes much more wisdom for their veterans, and with this year coming down to the final stretch, regardless of their postseason outcome, play in or not, it should be no problem for the Warriors, and another walk in the park for a team which resembles playoff basketball.
