With the USA and Canada both out of the World Junior Championships following defeats to Sweden and Czechia, the final between the two will be the time for Sweden’s stacked group of young talent to prove why they are paving the way for Sweden to be great in the future, and their WJC campaign as a whole is highlighting why they have as bright of a future as anyone.

This year Sweden has some of the best talents within the WJC pool. They have top three NHL draft picks like Anton Frondell, and they have future top three picks like Ivar Stenberg, but they also have an extremely deep crop of future stars like Viggo Bjorck and Viktor Eklund. Sweden has always had cream of the crop WJC teams every year, but this one looks special, and with their finals date against Czechia upcoming, these young Swedes will have a lot to prove, and give a lot of people a taste of what's to come for Sweden in the future.

Last year’s NHL draft saw Djurgardens star Anton Frondell get selected third overall by the Chicago Blackhawks, and has already been making crazy strides in the Swedish men's league, putting up points and playing like a truly elite NHL prospect while he’s at it. Similarly Vijkto Eklund who was selected in the late first round by the Islanders has stepped up in his home country, and has put on some very impressive and clinical performances in this year's WJC, and has a lot of good traits to look forward to in the future of international play.

Sweden already have an amazing field of great young players who are representing the Yellow and Blue on the worlds stage, the likes of Leo Carlsson, Lucas Raymond, and Ramus Dahlin, but there is still a crazy amount to come, and if they aren’t getting results now, they are sure to be super competitive in the future.

With youth like Viggo Bjorck and especially Ivar Stenberg set to light up the NHL in due course, it sets a very good precedent for the future of Sweden's men's team with how well their youth teams are doing so consistently, but his years WJC statement by the Swedes shows they are in better hands than they may ever have been in the near future.
