The long wait for Liverpool fans to hear their team be crowned Premier League champions has finally come to an end after an electric 5-1 win against Spurs as they win their 20th league title, and second Premier League title in five years. But with the team at their highest peak now, the next few months will tell the tale of how different the reds will look next season, and what shake ups Liverpool fans can expect heading into their title defence.

A spectacular season for Arne Slot’s Liverpool meant the title was in their reach for weeks, but with the title already in touching distance, it was the future of three of their biggest stars which was the biggest talking point this year for Reds fans. But after both Mo Salah and Van Dijk penned new deals to stay in Merseyside, hometown hero Trent Alexander Arnold still seems to be on his way out of Anfield, but could others also be on their way out next year?

It is difficult enough to keep players like Trent, Luis Diaz, and Cody Gakpo at the club at the best of times, but after this magnificent season, their demand will be through the roof. But will Slot let them go that easily? With Gakpo showing he can truly be the main man for Liverpool anywhere across the front line, and players like Jota and Szobszlai looking happy with their roles at the club, some others may be hard to convince to stay at the club. Two players in particular who could be on their way out quicker than expected are Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.

Differently to Diaz who has had a great time so far in Liverpool, Nunez’s tenure at the club hasn't looked promising, and with another inconsistent display this year, his exit is more likely than ever. With Saudi clubs, and even some European giants knocking at the door for both the South American stars it is a possibility both could leave, but expect to see Nunez depart much sooner than Diaz. Diaz on the other hand looks happy in Merseyside, and has found himself cemented as a star in the current Liverpool team, but with Barcelona slowly creeping up on him, he could be easily convinced to join a team every player dreams about.

But aside from some forwards looking likely to end their time at Anfield, the team looks like they are here to stay. Sure there are some players like Curtis Jones, and especially Harvey Elliot who will draw some attention this summer, but with Slot holding both in high regard, and both bringing lots of value to the team, they could be easily convinced to stay, and their places at Liverpool could remain concrete.

After winning the league at home in front of the fans, it is hard to see any reason why anyone would want to leave, and with the revelating year new coach Arne Slot has had, it would be silly for teams not to trust him, so don't expect much to change in Merseyside next season.
