Ange Postecoglou and Tottenham Hotspur find themselves in a very interesting situation as the season comes to a close, reaching the Europa League final while potentially finishing 17th in the Premier League, a sight you don't see often. While final opponents Manchester United also find themselves in a similar situation, Ruben Amorim is likely to stay put in Manchester, but the sassy Aussie in North London could already be seeing the door.

Spurs fans will definitely be turning their heads for the final two games of the season, and will have their eyes set on the crucial Europa League final ahead, in search of some long awaited silverware to their cabinet. With potentially the worst season since 1993/94 on their hands in which they finished 15th under Osvaldo Ardiles, Postecoglou could write his name in some very unwanted history come the end of the season. Although potentially being in the bad history books, Postecoglou may manage to mask his Premier League failures had he brought some glory to Tottenham.

It was February 2008 that Spurs last saw some silverware come to the club after winning the League Cup, and with every inch of focus on the final in Bilbao in just under two weeks time, Postecoglou may end his time at Spurs on high, and give Spurs fans something good to remember from his time in London.

But why exactly could Postecoglou be considered a jobless man already? Granting he goes and wins Spurs their first ever European competition and writes himself in the history books, his Premier League finish regardless of where he finishes, 15th, 16th, or 17th, owner Daniel Levy and his reputation for swift manager changes won't be too lenient on his performances and will likely move on from Ange despite the fact he could bring European glory. But with performances faltering slowly, and no focus on winning in any aspect, it looks like Ange’s desire and drive to make Spurs a better team has faded, and his focus and ambitions for Spurs may end as early as May 21st.

Postecoglou has been a joy to watch in the Premier League there is no doubt about that, but the sheer extremity of their finish in the Premier League may highlight his ability to compete at the highest level. With eyes on his date with Manchester United in the final, not enough eyes have been on his Prem performances, adn with consistently bad games, and poor response to loses mixed with the refusal to make rash changes, Ange may have given his last bit of hope to Spurs fans with the UEL final, and used his last wildcard in the Prem.

Though Postecoglou is a great manager, and could end his time at Spurs on a high note, showered in European Glory, the Tottenham Hotspur stadium may never feel the presence of Ange Postecoglu ever again.
