After a shocking 5-0 defeat against Bournemouth last week, Nuno and Nottingham Forest came with a vengeance into their matchup against Brighton, and slotted seven past the seagulls, sending a message to the whole league, that they aren't quite done yet.

After a completely inconceivable start to the season, Nottingham Forest find themselves sitting in third in the premier league, only trailing behind Arsenal and Liverpool, and are managing to maintain their consistent form, but how much longer can they make this last?

Following a 17th place finish last season after Nuno Espirito Santo took charge at the end of December 2023, it looked like Forest were in for another rough season, clinging onto the edge of survival, but for forest fans the unthinkable has happened. With 14 wins, already more than the nine they had last season, five loses and five draws, Forest currently sit in third place above the reigning treble winning Manchester City, and put on a show yesterday to show why they are worthy, and to send a warning to the rest of the PL. With a 7-0 victory against Brighton, and Chris Wood netting his 17th goal of the season with a hattrick, Forest and their lethal attack do not look like slowing down.

With a solid core of defensive players, Milenkovic and Aina being the standouts, it looks more than clear that Nuno has adapted his team to his defensive, strong style, and has developed somewhat mediocre players, into being some of the best in the league.

What we have seen from Forest this year is almost a carbon copy of what we saw when Nuno brought Wolves back up to the Premier League, and is really starting to gain more managerial credibility with this exquisite start to the season. But will Nuno and Forest eventually be found out? What Nuno will be hoping for is that his side doesn't crumble, and can maintain consistency and strength in the system, something his players at Wolves struggled with, leading to his inevitable sacking. But with Forest it's different. Nuno has managed to bring the culture back to Nottingham and the city ground, and has finally brought a much needed identity back.

With a couple of big games coming up against Newcastle, Arsenal, and Man City, Forest will look to make a statement on the league with a couple of big wins, and lock themselves in for something the Forest fans couldn't even imagine in a million years, a potential title clash with Liverpool. A true David Vs Goliath story, what a year for Nottingham Forest.
