Mahomes Celebrating 2024 Superbowl Win

Can Jim Harbaugh win his first game back in the NFL Playoffs in his NFL return, can Jayden Daniels shine in his first playoff game, will we see the Harbaugh Bowl 2.0? All will be revealed in this week's NFL Playoff games.

With the 2025 NFL playoffs right around the corner, there are a number of exciting and thrilling matchups to look out for, and some key games for some key individuals. Starting off in Houston, the Texans take on the Chargers in a pretty even matchup, as Chargers coach Jim Harbaugh aims to take down the Texans in his first game back in the NFL Playoffs after that heart breaking NFC Championship loss against Russell Wilson’s Seahawks in 2015. Harbaugh will look to utilize his weapons on and off the ground to tactically outscore DeMeco Ryans and the Texans, or will CJ Stroud rally his team to the win for their injured wide receiver Tank Dell. With both teams finishing on a similar record, and both having a fierce roster at hand, it will definitely be a game to look out for.

Not only will both the Chargers and the Rams be looking to progress further in the NFL playoffs, but both will also look to win for their city. With the tragic wildfires in LA at the moment, both teams who are playing away, will be looking to not only win for themselves, but to win for their city, and those suffering during the tough times. The Rams take on the Vikings in the first round of their playoff push, and are looking to cause a big upset, with Puka Nacua back in form, and Matthew Stafford looking like his old self, the Vikings will have a tough task of locking down the LA offense, and could see their playoff push be over sooner than they think.

Both the NFC and the AFC have themselves a rookie QB at the helm playing in their first playoff games of their career. Bo Nix looks to maintain good form and take down Josh Allen and the powerhouse Buffalo Bills, and Jayden Daniels and the Commanders will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, in what can be seen as one of the toughest games to predict. Along with both LA teams, Tampa Bay will also be looking for playoff glory for their fans, who suffered a tragic hurricane early in the NFL season, which caused tragic damage and a number of lives lost. Although the Commanders are kicking into form at the right time, the Buccaneers will have the extra drive and passion to win it for those who suffered.

Despite a number of games this weekend in both divisions, the Ravens taking on the Steelers is a must watch. It's rare we see a divisional game with a rivalry as fierce as this in the playoffs, but it's going to be a good one. With the Steelers losing the final 4 games of the season, and the Ravens finishing on a high by dismantling the Browns, Lamar Jackson will look to dump the Steelers quickly, and move on to the second round. The Ravens are 100% the team to watch in this year's NFL playoffs, with arguably the two most exciting players in the sport Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry commanding the offence, John Harbaugh will make any game a fun one in his quest for the Lombardi.

Finally, we have the Packers heading to Philly to play ball against the Eagles. With Jalen Hurts and AJ Brown back on the same page after a mid-season blip, and Saquon Barkley being Saquon Barkley, the Eagles have the firepower to take down anybody, and will take the game to the Packers. With an energetic young defence and a core offence like no other, the Eagles wont hold back on Jordan Love’s Packers.

The playoffs are often filled with quirky matchups and possibilities, but the 2025 NFL playoffs hold a situation nobody could imagine, but believe it or not it's happened before. Both the Chargers and Ravens are coached by Harbaughs, Jim and John, who actually played each other in the 2013 Super Bowl when Jim coached the 49ers, so keep an eye on both the Chargers and the Ravens this year because there’s a possibility we see the ‘Harbaugh Bowl 2.0’.
