The Chicago Bears are slowly managing to salvage their poor start to the season after bringing their record back to 2-2 after a hard fought battle against the Las Vegas Raiders, and everything seems to be finally clicking for Ben Johnson’s offense. As second year receiver Rome Odunze begins to show that first round potential we all knew he had, his chemistry with veteran receiver DJ Moore is beginning to look dangerous, and they could be on their way to becoming the best receiving duo in the NFL.

When the Bears selected Odunze 9th overall in last year's draft, the belief was that he would burst onto the scene with fellow rookie and first overall pick Caleb Williams, however his rookie year didn't live up to expectations, only scoring three touchdowns for 734 yards. Even though he was still behind DJ Moore on the depth chart, Odunze really didn't make too much of an impact for the Bears last year, but this year he has completely flipped the script.

So far through four games, the Bears have scored eight passing touchdowns, Odunze taking the credit for five of those, and five very important ones to say the least. Along with having 296 yards from 20 receptions, leading the teams receiving stats in every area shows just how important Odunze has become for Caleb Williams, and has now solidified himself as the go-to guy for the Bears.

Nevertheless, veteran and former Panthers receiver DJ Moore has still become a big time player for the Bears, offering what he does best, getting first downs and short yardage, making the perfect compliment for Odunze’s game. It is rare for a second year QB to have two excellent receivers who are elite in their own separate ways, but for Caleb Williams, he could have himself his own Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins on his hands.

As one of the rapidly growing receiving duos in the league, week in and week out, Odunze and Moore will continue to be the formula for Caleb Williams and Ben Johnson’s offense, and give it a couple more weeks, and some more time to get situated, the Bears may have something really special on their hands, and something that prove to be a championship calibre duo.
