Could Crystal Palace Win The FA Cup?

After drawing London rivals Fulham in the draw for the quarter finals of the FA Cup, and only one of the ‘big 6’ being left in the tournament, Oliver Glasner’s Crystal Palace could be a dark horse to win it all.

Coming into some of their best form of the season, showing signs of their late season form last year, had Palace maintained their unreal form in the cup they definitely have to be considered one of the more dangerous teams left in the tournament.

Despite the treble winning Manchester City still being in the tournament, they drew Bournemouth at home, a fixture they probably wouldn't have wanted given Bournemouth's form at home, and could have found themselves in a little bit of trouble at the Vitality Stadium, giving one of the remaining teams a dream chance of becoming FA Cup champions, one being Crystal Palace.

After a convincing win over Millwall in the last 16 round, all of Palace’s big stars like Marc Guehi, Eberechi Eze, and Jean-Phillippe Mateta finding their form at the right time, they should have enough firepower to overcome Fulham at Craven Cottage, and give themselves a shot at getting to the FA Cup final.

With the tournament being extremely weaker compared to prior years, teams like Aston Villa, Crystal Palace, Brighton, and even Preston have a chance at winning it, but there's just something about Crystal Palace this year that points them out for FA Cup glory more than anybody.

Had they go and beat Fulham, they probably will be hoping for an easier draw, making it easier for them to go further, but even a semi-final run would be sure to put a smile on the Palace fans faces, but they definitely have the talent and quality to go for it all.

What wouldn't be a shock is whether Glasner decides to prioritise the cup ties  over the premier league, aiming his sole focus on the potential to win some silverware for the club. Palace currently sit in a pretty average position in the league, not fighting for Europe, but not on the brink of relegation, so the focus and dedication to their cup ties may be Glasner’s priority.

It would be amazing to see a team like Palace prevail and produce a big shock in the cup by winning it all, but despite their good form and momentum, there's still a lot of dangerous obstacles in their way.
