Throughout the first six weeks of the NFL season, some of the best wide receivers in the league, and those who were likely first and second round picks have already found themselves on the injury reserve list, and now, with only a small crop of elite receivers to choose from, the Green Bay Packers Matthew Golden is one differential who is a massive target for week seven.

Most fantasy football players will find that their first or even second round receiver picks are probably injured; with the likes of Malik Nabers, Garrett Wilson, Mike Evans and Puka Nacua all out for next week, it is time to pull out some differential receivers for next week, and among a big crop of potential big time point scorers, Matthew Golden is one at the top.

Having gotten much more targets and yards over the last three weeks against both Dallas, Cleveland, and Cincinnati, Matthew Golden has accumulated 34 points over the last three weeks, and with the Packers facing off against the Cardinals next week, his workload could get a whole lot heavier. Golden, whose targets have increased from four, to six, to five in the last three weeks is beginning to find the ball a lot more, and for Jordan Love, he is becoming a very important guy.

But what does this mean for fantasy? Well this week not only will Golden’s targets increase again, but he is coming up against a defense who are 24th in total yards allowed, and 28th in passing yards allowed. The Cardinals defense have shown some glimpses of having a solid secondary, and are very able to stop big deep plays, however their game has slightly regressed, making Golden’s matchup one to keep an eye on. As far as buying low receivers go, Golden is a guy who will continue to get better, and is overall a very good investment.
