Yamal Lewandowski and Raphina

Following a powerful 5-2 win over Real Madrid in the Supercopa final, Barcelona seem to have found themselves with yet another world class trio up as all three net goals.

Ever since the dissolvement of the Messi, Suarez and Neymar trio in Barcelona, the Spanish giants have found it difficult to create another powerhouse attack, with many failed attempts across a number of failed managers, but following the dismantling of Carlo Ancellotti’s Real Madrid in Sunday's Supercopa final it’s clear there are three new musketeers, leading Barcelona into battle. With the addition of Lewandowski at the start of the 2022 season on a free from Bayern Munich, he has brought a much needed firepower to the Barcelona attack, and with signings such as Griezmann and Aubameyang both proving not to be Barcelona material, Barcelona fans couldn’t be happier at the addition of the former champions league winner. But not only Lewandowski was a big addition for Barca in 2022, with the signing of tricky winger Raphina from Leeds for 55 million euros, things really began to look on the up for Barcelona, with a solid attacking trio of Ousmane Dembele, Robert Lewandowski and Raphina, ready to spring Barca back to the top, and once again be an attacking force.

Despite the two new fresh faces in the Barcelona attack, both struggled to adapt to Spanish football, and began to raise a few eyebrows as to how ready they were to compete with the best of the best such as Real Madrid, but come late 2023, both began to show they were really the men for Barcelona. It wasn't until August 2023 when Barcelona saw young prodigy Lamine Yamal breakthrough into the first team at the age of 16 who instantly burst onto the scene, and giving himself the opportunity to join Lewandowski and Raphina, and be the main man up top for the Catalan Giants. Following a breakout season and the departure of Ousmane Dembele to PSG, Yamal earned himself the starting right winger job for Barca, and the rest is history. After winning the Euro’s with Spain, and winning young player of the tournament, being a vital part of the team, it was obvious with new manager Hansi Flick in charge of the 2024/25 season, Yamal was the go to man on the right, and the final piece of the puzzle for Flick’s fierce attack.

With Raphina netting 19 goals across 27 games in all competitions, Lewandowski with 26 in 27 and Yamal with 8 in 23, Barca have arguably one of the most dangerous and ferocious attacks in world football at the moment, and sent out a statement in Sunday’s Supercopa final, with all 3 recording goals and assists. With years of hardship and uncomfortably tough times for Barcelona in recent years in terms of attacking presence, new boss Hansi Flick has constructed the perfect attack, which doesn't look like slowing down anytime soon. By matching the tricky flair of both wingers, and the natural goal scoring ability of Lewandowski, Flick has managed to construct and attack, teams will fear, not only in Spain but across Europe. With an extremely exciting attack, and a crop of amazingly talented prospects, the future looks bright up top for the Spanish giants.
