A good day of racing today at Newmarket capped off by a very impressive debut victory for son of Frankel and John and Thady Gosden two year old Enoch, preceded by some very eye catching performances by young prodigy Zeus Olympios and Zanthos, however it is tomorrow’s Newmarket racecards which really catch the eye, and here are two very promising horses to keep in mind.

Bow Echo, 13:50

Owned by Sheikh Mohammed Obaid Al Maktoum, George Boughey’s thrilling two year old Bow Echo only seems to be improving with every run, and his second start in a class one at Haydock earlier this month proved why he is the real deal as a two year old. Ridden by young prodigy Billy Loughnane on both occasions, his form is through the roof, beating out John and Thady Gosden’s impressive Publish by a length highlighting an exceptional turn of foot, and looks like he could thrive at an even further distance.

Although he faces off against Aidan O’Brien’s pair of Action and Daytona ridden by both Wayne Lordan and Tom Marquand, Bow Echo seems to have the form stacked against, and ticks every box. With William Buick and Charlie Appleby’s Pacific Avenue and Andrew Balding’s Humidity also making strong claims, their head to head photo finish at Sandow is form that really can't be genuine given the nature of the ground, and with how the Al Maktoum two year old is running, his success over a mile pops out, and has the form, jockey, ground, and trip all under his belt, making him a very fair shout at the top of the market.

Fort George, 15:40

Running in the colours of Mrs Fitri Hay for a good season and a half, the step up in trip to a mile and a quarter since July has seen some positive results and some very interesting form, making him a clear competitor in the Cambridgeshire. Having shown some positive feedback ever since stepping up in trip, the mile and a furlong could be the sweet spot Ed Walker may have been looking for with Fort George, and his form over the distance make him a very interesting player.

Having won last time out at Newbury in a class 3 handicap carrying 9st 6lbs, a drop in weight to 8st 12;bs only makes him more attractive as an outsider, and as the full package, he also ticks all the boxes. A three and a half length victory at Newbury under Oisin Murphy proved his staying ability, and strong finishes to the race, and his third place finish by two lengths at Goodwood can easily be discounted after being held up with no space. Coming up against Treble Tee who has some very attractive form from his last three outings including a win at Doncaster earlier this month, and Godolphin’s Fifth Column who won last time out at York , Fort George’s experience an form over the trip and ground stacks up against the others, and after a successful day today for Oisin Murphy, more improvement is definitely on the way for Fort George, and has cleared claims to be dangerous against his competitors.
