Two different sports, but two extremely similar players, Trevor Zegras and Jalen Green, finally find new opportunities to prove themselves, both being in the exact situation, with one last shot to prove their worth. Zegras in Philly, and Green in Phoenix, it really is a case of the same player, but different league.
Zegras and Green, who both still have lots to give, will both venture into new opportunities next season, and have been part of a rare occurrence where two similar players across two sports find themselves in the same situation. Both traded in a matter of days, and both facing new obstacles and opportunities ahead, both lining up to become stories of their own.
Green who will take his talents to Phoenix steer being involved in a big trade package which sent Kevin Durant to the Rockets, will give him the chance to really prove that he can be a superstar, similarly with Zegras, his time in Anaheim didn't unlock his full potential, and now has a new beginning where his potential could flourish. The two have found themselves in situations where their respective teams have sort of given up on them, and felt they have offered all they can, but with both having masses of potential, and young age to still have a chance, it could be a redemption story for both.
In reality, both are probably not aware of one another, and what kind of situation they are in, but currently, could be the main story for redemption, and will have fans secretly following their progress in their new cities, and will both fly under the radar. An occurrence where situations are so similar across sports is rare, but in this instance, it is almost like their stories are lining up too perfectly for each other, and in some years to come, people may not remember both embarked on their new journeys to superstar status at exactly the same time.
