Why The Kansas City Chiefs Are The Most Boring Team In The NFL

There’s nothing worse watching a team win it all by just going through the motions, and have absolutely no flare whatsoever. But that's what you get when you watch the Kansas City Chiefs. Boring, bland football. The Chiefs have created this ‘dynasty’ from scraping wins, and effectively boring teams out of the game, playing safe everywhere they go. It doesn't help when the league's biggest team has Taylor Swift as their main attraction, a singer gaining more screen time than the players. Embarrassing.

Yeah the Chiefs will go down in history, but will they be remembered as one of the ‘greatest’ teams, I hardly think so. When a team wins so many Super Bowls like it's Groundhog day, you begin to forget how tough it is to watch the Chiefs. But when you think of New England’s dynasty you think Brady and Gronkowski, not Taylor Swift and the Grammys afterparty which everyone will remember the Chiefs for.

When you look at the Chiefs, they pride themselves on two players, Mahomes and Kelce, but has anyone really sat down and watched their highlights? I could sit for hours and watch any other duo in the league, mesmerized by the ridiculous plays they can make, but watching a 15 minute highlight reel on slant catch and runs, never.

Over the last two regular seasons, the Kansas City Chiefs have had only two, yes two games where they have scored over 30 points. And both times they scored 31 points. The problem with the Chiefs is they have no flair, no charisma, and no excitement to their game. Lamar Jackson with his scrambling ability, Joe Burrow with his swagger, and Mahomes with his straight face and waddle to the line of scrimmage, who would you choose?

It's hard to say the Chiefs aren't a good team, because they are, but entertaining, definitely not. The Chiefs have probably grown to be the most disliked team in the league, and it doesn't help when your tight end brings his pop star girlfriend to every game, who gets 10 times more screen time than him. Unlike the Patriots during their dynasty, the 49ers during theirs, the Chiefs have become a gimmick. Being known as ‘the team Taylor Swift supports’ doesn't really help when it comes to competing with the most fierce, and electrifying dynasties in sports history, and definitely isn't something you want to be remembered by.

Aside from becoming a gimmick, it doesn't help when your team has no players with personality, flair, or excitement on the field. Almost every team in the NFL has ‘that’ player with a personality unlike anyone else. The Bucs have Mayfield, the Bills have Coleman, and the 49ers have Kittle, who do the Chiefs have? Travis Kelce? Arguably one of the most unbearable players in the league. The Chiefs have no personality. They are just a plain team. They can win all the Super Bowl’s they want, break as many records, but the main thing is to be remembered. The Patriots will be remembered, the 9ers, the Rams, the Steelers, all for the personality, the flair and the players. In the Chiefs case it's all about numbers, not the players. And there is nothing more boring, than a team who is bland, and a team with no identity.
