Tempers begin to flare between Spanish giants Real Madrid and Brazilian superstar Rodrygo as new manager Xabi Alonso seems not keen on Rodrygo’s role in his new setup, and a shock departure away from the Bernabeu may be close for him. As he carries a pricey transfer valuation of £100 million, the Premier League big three emerge as the top three contenders for the 24 star. Will it be Merseyside champions? North London Red? Or Pep Guardiola’s tricky Citizens?

The Brazilian star who has won everything with Madrid was a set in stone starter under former manager Carlo Ancelotti, but as new tactics, players, and coaching staff emerge, Rodrygo finds himself in a situation nobody could have imagined. But with his value still sky high, and his potential still raw with plenty to give, a big move away is pending, and with three big suitors heading the race, the Premier League could be his next destination. But where is his best landing spot?

It seems after a few weeks of deliberation that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal have begun to rapidly fall out of the race amidst their striker woes, and with Manchester City not quite emerging as a fully interested target, league champions Liverpool may have their sights set on yet another massive summer signing. With Florian Wirtz, Jeremie Frimpong, and Milos Kerkez all signed and sealed, a big £100 million splash is on the table, and with an aging attacking line, and rumours circulating around Cody Gakpo and Luis Diaz, a big move to bring Rodrygo to Merseyside would be not only an amazing signing to bolster their title defence, but a massive signing for the future, and would be Arne Slot’s winger to count on for years.

Unlike Liverpool, Rodrygo’s fit in Manchester is hardly the fit of a jigsaw piece. An array of wingers, and squad rotation probably isn't something Rodrygo is tempted by, and given what we have seen in the past with Jack Grealish and Jeremy Doku, the Brazilian may vere away from Manchester, with first team football his main focus.

And finally Arsenal. A dream move for them. Martinelli’s form is faltering, and a big winger is a must, but it is their gaping hole up front which causes problems. The steep ton price tag may be too much for Arsenal to think about with other priorities on their minds, and all signs point away from Rodrygo at the moment for Arsenal, and it is sure that those like Liverpool won't waste any time in letting anyone snap him up.

So with the race in full swing, given he is out of the project fully in Madrid, it could be Premier League on the agenda for the tricky Brazilian next, and with a point to prove to new boss Alonso, and bags of raw, beaming talent yet to be fully unfolded, he could be the summers next big move, and one team seems to be edging closer and closer. One word. Campeones.
