Tottenham and West Ham Poised to End Longstanding Transfer Embargo

Not ever in his career would Ghanaian and West Ham superstar Mohammed Kudus think he would be the man to end Tottenham and West Ham’s 11 year unofficial transfer embargo, but it may well happen. A story which is more than interesting, but 14 years after Scott Parker’s £5 million transfer from the Hammers to Spurs, no player has made the move, marking an almost 15 year transfer embargo between the two.

In what has been called an ‘Unofficial embargo’ between the two teams for almost 15 years, the teams may be ready to set their differences and personal bitter feelings aside in order to make a big deal that would mark a moment in history for both, and West Ham star Mohammed Kududs could be the first to make the move. The bitter rivals who haven't shared business due to strategic refusal and personal rivalry may be onto a gentleman's agreement, and a £60 million deal between the two could be pending.

There is no concrete reason the two have decided to avoid business over the last decade and a half, but there is said to be reluctance between both to allow each other to strengthen their teams, and benefit off of one another, a rather petty, but smart move by both.  Although it is believed that both owners Daniel Levy and David Sullivan have some lingering tension with one another, and mutual agreed the embargo as neither wanted to make a serious competitor out of each other in the Premier League, players have still never even crossed the thought of joining either team, but rumours are heating up, and the 15 year mark may not be met if Mohammed Kudus makes the historical move.

Kudus currently has an £85 million release clause with the Hammers, but sources believe Levy and Spurs strongly believe a deal worth around the £60-65 million mark may be enough to bring Kudus to the Europa League winning side, and looks a player who suits Spurs going forward. In a truly baffling situation, it could soon be coming to an end, and much like Scott Parker, Kudus’ name may go down in history, and this one deal could just be an agreement too good to pass up on, and the embargo may still be on the table going forward. Who knows?
