Six months ago, former £50 million signing from Nottingham Forest Brennan Johnson scored the winning goal in the final of the Europa League to give Tottenham their first trophy in 17 years, fast forward to today and he is on the brink of being sold.

Brennan Johnson has been an on and off player for Spurs over the last couple of years, but never really reached that ceiling of being a blockbuster player. He has scored some very important goals, been the hero on a number of occasions, and been a solid servant for the North London club, but it has been revealed that it is more than likely that the Welshman will be sold this January.

What went wrong so quickly for the club to sell him hasn’t been fully revealed, and the decision to alleviate him of his duties in North London has shocked some fans, but the £35 million bid that has said to have been accepted by Crystal Palace looks like it will spark a big transfer race for the young attacker.

With the deal being sealed on the club's end between Spurs and Palace for a sum of around £35 million, Johnson himself has yet to make a final decision following lingerings of teams like Nottingham Forest and Bournemouth interested. For Johnson it looks like Iraola’s Bournemouth is the desired location as the pending sale of Antoine Semenyo will leave a clear gap for him down on the south coast, but with Bournemouth yet to pounce, Palace look the more likely suitors.

For a team like the Palaces and the Bournemouths, Johnson is an ideal target, and as for his time at Spurs, the lights looked a little bit too bright, and things never seemed to add up. With him still being young and full of talent, a move away will definitely suit, and a new path is being formed for Wales’ Brennan Johnson.
