After another extremely disappointing season so far for the New York Giants, Daniel Jones’s glimmer of hope is starting to fade, and questions are starting to be asked. Jones suffered a 9 month absence from the NFL after tearing his acl during a game versus the Raiders in November 2023, and returned to the NFL this season after undrafted fan favourite Tommy DeVito took the QB1 spot for the remainder of the season, but following a disappointing 6 and 11 record, the G-Men were equipped with some big talent as a gift for Daniel Jones’s return after drafting star wide receiver Malik Nabers with the 6th pick of the draft, with hope that the Jones, Nabers connection will fuel a well oiled offence in New York in 2024. But, deep into the 2024 season, it looks like the Jones, Nabers connection has already disconnected. Following a quick start by the two combining for a number of catches and yardage through the first 3 weeks, the duo's  rapport slowly started to fade after Nabers suffered a minor injury, resulting in a lacklustre receiver core for Jones to work with. Although since the return of Nabers, the duo have yet to rekindle their partnership, and after a rather fiery argument during the game versus the Steelers, it looks like the tension builds, and the pressure is heavier than ever on Jones's shoulders. Which raises the argument, Jones stays, or he goes. With a disappointing record coming into the final half of the season, it doesn't look like it's getting any better for the Giants, meaning all eyes are on the 2025 NFL Draft. If the Giants continue their poor run of form towards the end of the season, they are looking at potentially a top 5 pick, or at least a top 10, which will no doubt get them a stud at the quarterback position. With promising young talent such as Cam Ward, Shaedur Sanders and Jalen Milroe, the G-Men have a great opportunity to fully activate Malik Nabers’s talent, and will no doubt acquire a player who will point the giants in the perfect direction towards playoff glory. With players such as Andrew Thomas, Dexter Lawrence and Brian Burns keeping the defence in good shape, a prospect such as Cam Ward or Jalen Milroe will give the offence the push it needs to once again become a playoff contender, and give both the giants and Daniel Jones a fresh start for their futures.
