Liverpool’s promising 22 year old academy graduate, and England u21’s captain Jarell Quansah’s £30 million move to Bayer Leverkusen means a wide open gap at centre back for the reds, and Ajax and Netherlands wonderkid Jorell Hato seems to be the man Arne Slot could target to fill it.

Talks surrounding Quansah’s future at the club were bubbling for the last few weeks, and with rumours regarding Ibrahima Konate’s future floating around, Slot may look to bring in a replacement who has an extremely high ceiling, and can accommodate both roles as his career progresses.

19 year old Jorell Hato is highly regarded as one of football’s most promising centre halves, and has an extremely high ceiling, and ability that is destined for the Premier League. After a solid year of development and first team football at Ajax, a £50 million price tag seems to be what the Dutch giants are fetching, and given Liverpool’s current spending habits, and the fresh new gap a player like Hato could easily slip into, a move to Merseyside may be on the horizon for the rising star.

With interest by teams like Arsenal, Manchester United, and Bayern Munich in the last few months, Liverpool’s recent success, and advantage on the manager front may just sway Hato towards the current Premier League champions, and Liverpool may have made a calculated decision to move on from Quansah to bring in one of the hottest prospects in football.

It is sure that Liverpool wont mess around, and will look to get a deal signed and sealed quickly, and a deal for a player of his stature and potential, among world class signing s such as Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez, the spending may not stop, and Hato would be yet another bright spark in their transfer window this summer.

It is also believed that Hato is insistent on moving to a big time European club in pursuit of development at the top level, and also time to gain experience and show his potential on the biggest stage. And now after the Quansah departure, the deal only looks to make perfect sense for Hato and Liverpool.
